San Diego 2009
 
 

We are beginning the planning for the 2009 ISA convention.  That convention will be held in San Diego, California.  We have begun to frame the agenda for the convention.  The planning process consists of several sections and we are looking for members to assist with the planning and the implementation of the plans.  We need people who have contacts within the military, the submarine building industry, the travel industry, the entertainment industry and any other contacts that could be useful.  We need people with sales skills, planning skills and with organizational skills.  We need people with an interest in helping to prepare an outstanding International Submariners Association Convention.  We want everyone who attends to go home in awe of their experience in San Diego.

Here are the areas that have been identified:

Program - includes daily, hourly events and movement of attendees. 
Includes the translation services and includes the gifts and memorabilia. 
Includes the greeting and registration.

Funding and Budgeting - includes identifying sponsors and selling the convention concept to obtain funding for the event.

Entertainment - We will need several days worth of differing entertainment.

Transportation - We will want to have first class local transportation for all attendees.

Military Liaison

City and State Liaison

Literature - Includes web site design, shirts, hats, patches, forms for attending, informational literature, etc.
